If you were excited when the unpainted prototype for Link showed up this winter, now is the time to get hyped up as not only is he going up for pre-order very soon, he’s also finally being shown fully colored. Of course this is the skyward sword version of link and while I wish he had more faces and accessories, it’s still a pretty good package for Nintendo fans. Anyway, he should go up for order for a retail of 3,800 yen so feel free to hop on your favorite Japanese figure retailer and get yourself a pre-order if you are so inclined.

I went and wrote about toys again

Wonderful! Had no idea Nintendo was planning on teaming up with the figma guys to come out with a Link figure. I have the Aegis figma and am very happy with the quality of the toy and would love to own this one as well.

PS: Check out the Master Sword’s motion blur effect in the lower left-most corner. Fabulous.

Since Skyward Sword was first released back in November I’ve beaten probably like 3 dungeons and for some reason decided just to forget about the game. Which is quite a shame because I consider myself to be quite a big fan of the Zelda franchise. Something about Skyward Sword just hasn’t been catching my attention like the GameCube classic Wind Waker did. Maybe it’s the controls that have been frustrating me (I’m not a huge waggle fan), or maybe it’s just that I’m getting a little older and have been growing a little tired of the Zelda formula, or maybe I’m just lazy? (I’m probably just lazy.)
Anyway, this weekend I decided to give the game another go and started a brand new file. I’ve only finished the first dungeon so far but I’m quite loving it. I’ve also gained a new TV from a friend which makes playing the game quite a bit more enjoyable. I’m determined that I’m going to finish the game, and that’s exactly what I plan on doing this this month.
